panorama gives pictures the depth and width it deserves. Sure, it may cut off many parts of the picture, but it brings focus and attention to the main subject(s). Besides, wide aspect ratios always amuses me.

yep, that's Andrew, our [tentative] class poster boy... looks cool, doesn't it? It started as a candid shot which became an awesome photo. I'll keep editing it, but for now, just enjoy the blue backdrop.

I've been trying to convert my favourite songs into Lossless by re-ripping some old CDs into Apple Lossless format in iTunes, and then transferring them to my iPod. Tentatively, I have 39 lossless tracks from 2 full albums + selected tracks from 5 albums.

Lossless audio is the closest to studio-like quality audio which you can get in a digital format at home. And best of all, there's one format which works on the iPod!
Best for audiophiles and people with very sensetive ears. Not for the Heavy Metal kind of rocker...

My second published digital artwork. still on the same theme of trees, but this time, a much more "dead" and dark tree. Still experimenting with GIMP... there's some features GIMP has and Photoshop doesn't... [but most probably available as add-ons by third parties]. Do try GIMP out if you aren't willing to buy Photoshop. [I'm waiting for CS3 to be AVAILABLE... currently on pre-orders only...]
For the Mac users, GIMP is a Universal App. It's one of those Linux apps recompiled for the XDarwin interface under X11...

Here's a tip to getting nice pictures on camera phones: don't use colours.
I've noticed that most camera phones (or pinhole cameras, as I like to call them) often produce low-quality interpolated photos with lots of noise, especially when the photos have very dark spots. To solve the problem, just go B&W or sepia! Not only do you get a nice, warm, ancient effect, but you also get acceptable quality pictures!
